DRL

I worked for GM at the proving Grounds for 22 years. Around 1994 they instituded a policy of all test driving to be done with your headlights on. The reason they did this was because of the impending federal law in the US and Canada witch would require all new cars to have daytime running lamps. Canada's law passed but the one in the US did not. GM decided that it would be wise to make all their cars and trucks with the DRL ( daytime running lamps ) system. I noticed that when I started using my headlights on my 92 Camaro out of habit from my test driving job, that all of a sudden people did not pull in front of me as ofter as they used to. Now I think that we need to pass this law in this country as their is no doubt that there would be lives saved and also less property damage et.al.fender benders. We need to tell our people in Washington because this is the right thing to do.HEADLIGHTS ON FOR SAFETY.
